Evaun M. Lynch, 91, of Shelbyville, IL, formerly of Findlay, IL, passed away at 2:25 p.m. Thursday, March 1, 2018 in Shelbyville Manor, Shelbyville, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 5, 2018 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL with Bishop Thomas Suey officiating. Visitation will be from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Sunday, March 4, 2018 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Evaun was born on November 6, 1926 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Charles and Estella (Winters) Gilmore. She was the valedictorian of the Class of 1944 at Moweaqua High School and earned her Associates degree from Lake Land College. She was the office manager for Drs. Cabrera, Cokley and Radecki in Decatur, IL until her retirement. Evaun loved spending time with her family and was known for her homemade noodles. She was a member of Christ Tabernacle Church in Herrick, IL, was active in the Findlay community and enjoyed working crossword puzzles. Evaun married Dewey Eugene “Gene” Lynch on May 27, 1946 and he preceded her in death on September 25, 1974.

She is survived by her sons, Michael Lynch (Cathy) of Mattoon, IL, David Lynch (Martha) of Bryan, TX, and Timothy Lynch of Sullivan, IL; daughter, Laurie Hubbartt (Bill) of Findlay, IL; daughter-in-law, Tammy Lynch of Findlay, IL; grandchildren, Brandy Isaac (Mike), Johnny Lynch, Troy Lynch (Denise), Erica Webb (Steve), Emily Jordan (John), Eric Lynch (Deanna), Matthew Lynch, Lincoln Lynch (Kari), Dylan Lynch, Krista Curry (Brandon), Kimberly McClimans, Dustin Heiland (Angie), Scott Cutler (Christy), Daphne Killam, Chelsie Hubbartt (fiancé, Ryan Scott), and Jacob Hubbartt; and 36 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Gene Lynch; son, Steven Lynch; daughter, Patricia Beck; son-in-law, Gary Beck; daughter-in-law, Debi Lynch; brothers, Charles and Orville “Ike” Gilmore; grandson, Zachary Hubbartt; and granddaughter-in-law, Heather Lynch.
