Evelyn D Cruit

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 22, 2011 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville with Rev. Tom Compton officiating. Visitation from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Monday. Burial will be in Findlay Cemetery, Findlay, IL. Memorials may be given to the First United Methodist Church of Findlay.
Mrs. Cruit was born on April 8, 1926 in Moweaqua, IL, the daughter of Emert and Irma Bridgman Waddell. She graduated from Moweaqua High School. Evelyn was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Findlay where she was active with the Bag Ladies. She married Paul Bill Cruit on February 21, 1946. He died on February 18, 1981.
She is survived by her son, Van Cruit and wife Debbie of Findlay; grandsons, Dustin Cruit and wife Jenny of Taylorville, IL and Derek Cruit and wife Jenny of Mapleton, IL; great grandchildren, Reese and Grant Cruit of Mapleton, IL; and sister-in-law, Ruth Cruit of Shelbyville. Evelyn loved her great grandchildren and was excited about Dustin and Jenny’s new baby due to arrive in December.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul Bill; and sister, Kathleen Sharon Waddell.
