Evelyn M Jones

Burial will be at a later date in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville. Howe and Yockey Funeral Home in Shelbyville is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Mrs. Jones was born on August 15, 1927 in Shelby County, Illinois, the daughter of Luther and Lula Kimmel Wilson. She graduated from Shelbyville High School in the Class of 1945. Evelyn was a secretary for Shelbyville High School and later Leach–Wilson Chevrolet Buick in Shelbyville until her retirement in 1998. She was a former member of the Order of Eastern Star Shelbyville Chapter #69. She married Robert F. Jones on May 11, 1948 in Shawneetown, Illinois.
Surviving are her husband, Robert; son, Michael Jones of Shelbyville; brother, Forrest Wilson of Shelbyville; granddaughter, Alison Hubner and husband Roscoe of Shelbyville; great grandchildren, Dylan and Paige Hubner; nephews, Lynn and Brent Wilson; niece, Carol Jent and husband Lonnie of Sullivan; and great nephew, Doug Jent of Tuscola.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Retha Horner.
