Frances Reynolds

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 13, 2018 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL with Brother Wayne Polk officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to Second Street Church of Christ in Shelbyville, IL.
Frances was born on August 16, 1932 in Shelbyville, IL, the daughter of Jesse Montrose and Ora Selma (Reid) Jarnigan. She graduated from Shelbyville High School in the Class of 1950 and later from Sparks Business College in Shelbyville. Frances was the secretary for the Daily Union in Shelbyville for many years. She previously worked for Hygrade Cheese Factory and the Corner Drug, both in Shelbyville. She was a member of the Second Street Church of Christ and a former member of the Shelbyville Garden Club and Shelby County Home Extension. Frances enjoyed growing flowers, gardening, making crafts and baking. She married Donald Eugene Reynolds in 1950 and he preceded her in death in 2010.
Surviving are her daughter, Kathy Minser (Craig) of Springfield; sons, Donald “Butch” Reynolds, Greg Reynolds (Rosanne) and Mitch Reynolds all of Shelbyville, IL; grandchildren, Adrienne Minser of Rantoul, IL, Zach Minser of Springfield, IL, Daniel Reynolds of Pana, IL, Marissa Sims (Tyler) of Pana, IL, Amy Christner (Jacob) of Shelbyville, IL and Matt Helton of Urbana, IL; and great grandchildren, Quentin Hampton, Kaylee Hampton, Mia Reynolds, Morgan Reynolds, Hudson Sims, Silas Christner, Kairi Christner and one on the way, Avery Sims.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don; and grandson, Andrew Minser.
