Francis J O’Shea

Graveside services with military rites will be 3:00 p.m. Wednesday in Poe Cemetery, Jones, MI. Howe & Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be given to Shelby Memorial Hospital Foundation for Home Health, 200 S. Cedar, Shelbyville, Illinois 62565.
Mr. O’Shea was born on June 26, 1918 in Rutland, VT, the son of Dennis and Elizabeth Moon O’Shea. He was an Army Air Corps veteran, serving in WW II and the Korean War. He moved to Shelbyville in 1975 to work in purchasing and inventory control at Continental Can/International Paper. He was a member of the National Rifle Association, North American Hunting Club and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He married Laura Dutelle on December 10, 1949.
Surviving are his wife, Laura; daughter, Linda Wetherbee and husband Jim of Three Rivers, MI; sisters, Theresa Davis of Rutland, VT and Mary Clossey and husband Leonard of Richland, WA; three grandchildren, Brian Wetherbee, Jennifer Wetherbee and Nichole Nash and husband Herb; and one great granddaughter, Kylee Shea Nash.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Elizabeth Hogan.
