Gene Norman

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday in Pleasant View Cemetery, Assumption with Brother Ron Brown officiating. Visitation from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Friday in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville. Memorials may be given to Shelby County Community Services.
Gene was born on July 2, 1948 in Vandalia, Illinois, the son of Clarence Eugene and Ethel Yvonne Elam Norman. He was a member of the former Assumption Baptist Church. He enjoyed country music, western movies, trucks, cars and bowling.
Surviving are his brothers, Larry K. Norman of Rogersville, MO and Loy G. Norman of Pana; half-brother, Wade R. Norman of St. Joseph, MO; sister, Sandra K. Morgason of Mattoon; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Nancy L. Sayers.
