Genevieve I Weakly

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 31, 2015 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL with Rev. Lynette DeAtley officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to the Food Pantry of the First United Methodist Church in Shelbyville or the charity of your choice.
Genevieve was born on July 5, 1917 in Christian County, Illinois. She is the daughter of William “Pete” and Elsie Ann Brinker Shade. Genevieve worked at the Coast to Coast Store in Shelbyville for 12 years. She attended Grace United Methodist Church in Westervelt, IL. She married Carl O. Weakly and he preceded her in death on October 22, 1970.
She is survived by her daughter, Delores Hughes and husband Bob of Santa Cruz, CA; brother-in-law, Donald Weakly and wife Marilyn of Shelbyville, IL; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl; brother, Frank Shade; sister, Ila Mae Donnel; and brother-in-law, Lester Donnel.
