Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 10, 2014 in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL with Chaplain Tim Haworth officiating. Family and friends are invited to visit from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Thursday in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL, before going in procession to the cemetery. Memorials may be given to VFW Post # 4829 of Shelbyville, IL.
Mrs. Hill was born on December 17, 1924 in Pana, IL, the daughter of Charles Amos and Nancy Devor Pope. She worked for Wayne’s Office Supply, Essex Wire & Cable Company and then as manager of Spracklen TV all in Pana, IL, retiring in 1986. Georgia was a life member of V.F.W. Auxiliary and a former member of Moose Lodge # 1294 both of Shelbyville, IL. She married William L. “Louie” Hill on July 18, 1942 in St. Charles, MO. He died on January 31, 2000.
She is survived by her son, Terry Hill and wife Pati of Allen, TX; daughters, Sandy Agney and husband Harold and Nancy Wagner and husband Steve all of Shelbyville, IL; sister-in-law, June Williams Pope of Daytona, FL; brother-in-law, Nira “Bud” Hill and wife Roberta of Taylorville, IL; six grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Louie; son-in-law, Kenny Kreevich; one granddaughter; three sisters; and seven brothers.
