Family and friends may gather at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 11, 2013 in Grace Cemetery, Strasburg, IL for a memorial graveside service with Rev. Steven Becker officiating. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Strasburg, IL. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
Georgia was born on July 8, 1947 in Valley City, North Dakota, the daughter of George Wilson and Eleanor Jean Gunderson Jones. She enjoyed sewing and spending time with her family. Georgia married Dennis R. Edwards on May 31, 1969. He died on February 22, 2004.
She is survived by her children, Jessica Willis and husband Chuck of Sullivan, IL, Robin Nichols and husband Lonnie of Shelbyville, IL, Valerie Spencer of Charleston, IL, Jason Edwards and wife Angie of Strasburg, IL and Kevin Edwards of Strasburg, IL; brother, Joe Jones of Mattoon, IL; sisters, Sandra Cocca of California; Charlotte Brown of Mattoon, IL and Edith Stiff of Mattoon, IL; and grandchildren, Charlie Willis, Cody and Breanna Margenthaler, Tyler and Braden Nichols, Amanda Willis, Noah Spencer, Karson Spencer and Rylee Nichols.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dennis; and brother, Norman Jones.
