Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday at the First Church of The Nazarene, Shelbyville with Rev. Greg Breeden officiating. Visitation one hour before service. Burial will be in Thomas Anderson Cemetery, Palmer, Illinois. Memorials may be given to the First Church of the Nazarene in Shelbyville. Howe and Yockey Funeral Home in Shelbyville is in charge of arrangements.
Gertrude was born on May 30, 1927 in Clarksdale, Illinois the daughter of Marion Sylvester and Iva R. McConnell Durbin. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Shelbyville.
Surviving are her daughter, Joanne Hutton and husband Robert of Bethany; grandson, John Gilbert and wife Beverly of Decatur; granddaughters, Patricia Herald and husband Kerry of Bethany and Eugenia Smith and husband Rick of Canton; 12 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and four sisters.
The family wants to thank the nurses and staff of Sullivan Health Care Center and Lincolnland Hospice.
