Goldie Caroline Ragan , 98, of Shelbyville, IL, passed away at 4:53 a.m. Monday, March 20, 2023 in Heartland Senior Living, Neoga, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 2, 2023 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL with Rev. Linda Trent officiating.  Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.    Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL.  Memorials may be given to the Fourth Street United Methodist Church or Saving Orphaned Animals.

Goldie was born on December 3, 1924 in Moweaqua, IL, the daughter of Ernest and Tressie (Ewing) Stiner.  She married Ervil Wesley Ragan on November 12, 1946. Goldie began working for the Houdaille-Hershey Corporation in Decatur, IL and later worked for the Borg-Warner Corporation in Decatur, IL for over 40 years.  She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and working in her yard.

She is survived by her sons, Ronald Ragan (Phyllis) of Findlay, IL and Alan Ragan (Diane) of Shelbyville, IL: daughters, Carol Davis (Gene) of Shelbyville, IL and Denna Beck (Danny) of Decatur, IL; grandchildren, Stacey Crooker, Kelly Schafer, Clint Ragan, Greg Ragan, Jana Donahue, Alaina Marquis, Jamie Newell, Heather Robison and Corey Davis; great grandchildren, William Crooker, Rachael Crooker, Alesha Buxton, Brittany Simms, Nichole White, Erica Ragan, Nick Ragan, Eric Ragan, Schyler Thompson, Kurt Seaton, Olivia Davis, Ella Davis, Harrison Davis, Heather Mayer, Mike Mayer, Wrigley Donahue, Reese Donahue, Dexter Marquis, and Vayda Marquis; and great great grandchildren, Brielle Buxton, Everly Buxton, Hanley East and Lainey Simms.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ervil on October 14, 1994; brothers, Charles Stiner (Ruth and Phyllis), Frederick Stiner (Erma) and Donald Stiner (Emma); sisters, Elizabeth Munson (Ed), Dorothy Stiner (Darold) and Josephine Gillen.
