Harold Price
(April 22, 1918 – September 15, 2006)
Funeral services will be held at 3 pm Sunday, September 17th at the Howe and Yockey Funeral Home in Shelbyville, IL. Visitation is from 2 pm to time of service on Sunday. Burial in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville with military rites conducted by the Shelby County Honor Guard. Memorial may be given to the donor’s choice.
Mr. Price was born on April 22, 1918, in Mattoon. He is the son of Walter John and Ida Maude (Whitaker) Price. He was a carpenter and a member of the South Fourth Street Church of Christ. He served in the Army during WWII in both the Pacific and European Theaters. He married Frances “Fannie” Cazier on March 18, 1943.
Survivors include his wife, son William Price and wife Pam of Vinemont, AL, daughter-in-laws Wanda Price of Moline and Linda Duncan of Lovington, brothers Ivan Price and wife Dorothy of Mattoon and Frank Price of Mattoon, brother-in-law Jay Cazier and wife Edna of Windsor, and five grandchildren; Molly, Brennan, and Evan Price of Moline, Timothy and Lee Price of Tennessee, and two great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter.
Preceded in death by two sons, Walter and David Price, one brother John Price, and one sister Gladys Potts.
