Harold W. Agney , 83, of Shelbyville, IL passed away at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 16, 2021 in Shelbyville Manor.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, December 5, 2021 at the Shelbyville VFW with Bradley Smith officiating. Memorials may be given to Saving Orphaned Animals Shelby County and mailed to Howe and Yockey Funeral Homes, 415 North Broadway, Shelbyville, IL. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL.

Harold was born on July 7, 1938 in Peoria, IL, the son of Artie A. and Harriet Ann (Whitesel) Agney. He graduated from Shelbyville High School in the Class of 1956. Harold married Sandra L. (Hill) Kreevich on September 29, 2006. He worked as an engineer at International Paper for many years.  After retiring from International Paper in 1998, Harold worked as a handyman. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a member of the Moose Lodge #1294 in Shelbyville.

He is survived by his wife, Sandy Agney; daughters, Windy Hennings (Brian Richard) of Baton Rouge, LA, Joy Wurst (Todd) of Thornton, CO, and Kathy Lewis (Jason Vincent) of Shelbyville, IL; step-daughters, Terri Sue Martin of Salesville, AR, and Michelle Newton (Mike) of Aurora, IL; brothers, Elmer Agney of Shelbyville, IL, and Robert Agney (Jan) of Tucson, AZ; brother-in-law, Terry Hill (Pati) of Allen, TX; sister-in-law, Nancy Wagner (Steve) of Shelbyville, IL; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Delmar “Jake” Agney; and step-daughter, Denise Ann Smith.
