Harry Wilson Hudson, 82, of Shelbyville, IL, passed away at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 2, 2019 in Shelbyville Manor.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 6, 2019 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL with Rev. Greg Breeden officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday, May 5th and one hour before service time on Monday. Memorials may be given to Saving Orphaned Animals or Shelbyville Junior Wrestling.

Harry was born on August 9, 1936 in Dugout, near Shelbyville, IL, the son of Roy Wilson and Edith Marie (Barker) Hudson. He graduated from Shelbyville High School in the Class of 1953 and attended Sparks College. Harry was the Superintendent of Hudson Construction in Shelbyville, retiring in May 1995. He was a member of Moose Lodge #1294 of Shelbyville, IL, Local Union 1262 of Shelbyville and later Local Union 159 of Decatur, IL. Harry was an avid hunter and outdoorsman and a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and Fighting Illini Basketball. Harry married Nancy Ann Hayden on July 27, 1958.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy; daughters, Bari (Mark) Phipps of Carlinville, IL, Connie Perry of Bethany, IL and Lori (Greg) Norfleet of Decatur, IL; son, Brad (Sherri) Hudson of Shelbyville, IL: nephew, Dave (Birgit) Nees of Niceville, FL; niece, Sue Hankins of Shelbyville, IL; brothers-in-law, Richard (Gertie) Hayden of Moweaqua, IL and Carl (Ann) Hayden of Fort Walton Beach, FL; nine grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Roger G. Perry; brothers, Wendell, Gerald “Rad”, Robert, Donald and Dale Hudson; sisters, Lorraine Nees, Mary Martz and Jean Doss; half-sisters, Agnes Alday, Ruth Gatons, Velma Hudson, Thelma Hudson and Myrtle Hudson; and nephew, Ralph “Butch” Nees.
