Hazel Ilene Binnion

A public visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Friday, July 24, 2020 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL. A family funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, in the funeral home with Rev. Stephen Cantrell officiating. Cremation will follow the services with burial at a later date in Pleasant View Cemetery, Assumption, IL. Memorials may be given to the family in care of Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, 415 N. Broadway, Shelbyville, IL 62565.
Ilene was born on August 8, 1940 in Tower Hill, IL, the daughter of William and Lula (Jacobs) Clutter. She attended and graduated from Assumption High School in the Class of 1958. Ilene worked at the Shoe Factory and the Garment Factory both in Mattoon, IL. She later managed Wilcos in Shelbyville for 25 years. Ilene was a former member of the Mattoon VFW Auxiliary and she loved playing BINGO. She married Donald Binnion October 11, 1958 and they had six daughters.
Ilene is survived by her daughters, Sherry Prather of Shelbyville, IL, Wanda Harding of Shelbyville, IL, Merle Dunne (Patrick) of Shelbyville, IL, Anna Connelly (Ralph) of Mattoon, IL, Anita Marcum (Keith) of Milford, IL, and Rose Garza (Jaime) of Shelbyville, IL; brother, Richard “Dick” Clutter of Assumption, IL; sisters, Doris Jannick of Pana, IL, and Carolyn Rentfro of Decatur, IL; sister-in-law, Kay Clutter of Assumption, IL; 20 grandchildren and 45 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; brother, Ronnie Clutter; infant brother, Muriel Clutter; step-father, Joseph Moore; brothers-in-law, Melvin Jannick and Sonny Rentfro; sister-in-law Janet Clutter; grandchildren, Daniel Edward Harding, Dustin Aron Marcum and great grandson, Daniel Jacob Harding.
