Helen F Jordan

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday in Locust Grove Church, Assumption, Illinois with Rev. Ray Finney and Rev. David Beerbower officiating. Visitation from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Sunday in Howe & Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville and one hour before services Monday in the church. Burial will be in Locust Grove Cemetery, Assumption. Memorials may be given to Locust Grove Church, Assumption.
Mrs. Jordan was born on March 10, 1912 in rural Moweaqua, the daughter of Lawrence and Bess (Weakly) Protsman. She was a member of Locust Grove Church, Assumption. She married Herb Jordan on Nov. 26, 1930. He died on June 26, 1965.
Surviving are her sons, Lyle Jordan and wife Jean of Moweaqua, Dale “Shorty” Jordan and wife Elnora of Decatur, Robert Jordan and wife Joan of Assumption and Warren Jordan and fiancée Sheila Patrick of Pana; brother, John Protsman and wife Mildred of Moweaqua; 19 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; and 17 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herb; son, Ralph Jordan; brother, Maurice Protsman; sisters, Dorothy Korte, Virginia Zindel, Elizabeth “Betty” Keilman and Grace Miller; two grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
