Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 4, 2012 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville. Visitation from 11:00-1:00 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to the McLean County Nursing Home, Normal, IL.
Helen was born on October 21, 1937 in Shelbyville, IL, the daughter of Howard Donald “Skimmer” and Vera Marie Houser Calvert. She worked for Calvert Ceramics in Shelbyville, IL and Don’s Hideaway Bait Shop at Lake Mattoon for many years. Helen was a member of Ladies of the Moose #1325, Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post #4829 and Eagles Lodge #4395 all of Shelbyville.
She is survived by her sons, Robert Allen Pfeiffer and wife Kara of Shelbyville, IL and Terry Lynn Pfeiffer of Bloomington, IL; daughters, Cheri Lee Pfeiffer of Shelbyville, IL and Brenda Sue Pfeiffer and husband Ty Harris of Bartlett, IL; sister, Shirley Fesperman and husband George of Shelbyville, IL; half-sister, Lennie Wells of Comanche, TX; and six grandchildren, Tony Pfeiffer of Gays, IL, Christy Ashley of Bethany, IL, Rory Arthur and Rhett Arthur both of Shelbyville, IL, Bobby Magee of Charleston, IL and Travis Magee of Toledo, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Joanne Storm.
