Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 2, 2013 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL with Rev. Mark Sanders officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Helen was born on April 5, 1916 in Okaw Twp., Shelby Co., IL, the daughter of Charles Howell and Josephine Miami Mackrell Williams. She was a retired wholesale narcotics distributor. She married Harry I. Lee on December 9, 1943. He died on May 1, 1982.
She is survived by her son, Gale Lee of Bastrop, TX; daughters, Jewell Radich of Wildomar, CA, Betty Fillinger of Rantoul, IL and Harrietta Lindahl of Williamston, SC; brother, Ivan Williams of Cerro Gordo, IL; step-brothers, Carl McClain of Shelbyville, IL and Earl McClain of Findlay, IL; 23 grandchildren; 63 great grandchildren; 55 great great grandchildren; and two great great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harry; daughter, Maria Boatz on January 23, 2013; brothers, Leo Glenn Williams, James Fred Williams, Charles Harrell Williams and Herbert Raymond Williams; and sisters, Hazel Nolan, Edith Gordon and Beatrice Maude Woods.
