Ione Hubner, 88, of Tower Hill, died at 7:45 a.m. Tuesday, October 7, 2008 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville with Rev. Mike Pritts officiating. Visitation from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Assumption, Illinois. Memorials may be given to American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association.

Ione was born on February 25, 1920 near Westervelt, Illinois, the daughter of Linny and Nellie Rodman Woodward. She worked at the telephone office in Assumption and also worked many years at Kemmerer Village in Assumption. She also worked with her husband in farming. She was a member of the Henton Church of God. She married Harry W. Hubner on May 28, 1938. He died on September 30, 1990.

Surviving are her sons, Dale Hubner and wife Sandra (Carson) of Decatur, Harold Hubner and wife Barb (Hardy) of Assumption and Lester Hubner and wife Martha (Wait) of Huntington Beach, California; brother, Rev. Donald Woodward and wife Allie (Martin) of Huntsville, Alabama; grandchildren, Kathy Underwood and husband Kevin of Mt. Zion, Gary Hubner and wife Charlotte (Kelley) of Mt. Zion, Trudi Filchak of Moweaqua, Deborah Davis of Rockford, and Adam and William Hubner of Huntington Beach, California; and great grandchildren, Andy and Alisha Underwood of Mt. Zion, John and Samantha Filchak of Moweaqua, Tiffany and Matthew Davis and Alexander Lambert all of Rockford, Erick and Carson Hubner of Mt. Zion; and step great granddaughter, Crystal Roderick of Champaign.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harry; sister, Blanche Woodward; great grandson, Michael Davis; and grandson-in-law, John Filchak.

Mrs. Hubner was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to everyone.
