Iris Diane Venters , 81, of Shelbyville, IL, passed away at 7:50 a.m. Wednesday, November 15, 2023 in HSHS Good Shepherd Hospital, Shelbyville, IL.

Private graveside services will be held  in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL.  Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association and mailed to Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, 415 N. Broadway, Shelbyville, IL 62565.

Iris was born on September 19, 1942 in Shelbyville, IL, the daughter of Jerome Bailey “Sam” and Ferol G. (Allison) Anderson.  She graduated from Shelbyville High School in the Class of 1960.  She married William R. Venters on September 18, 1960.  Iris retired from Shelby Memorial Hospital in 2017 after 25 years.

She is survived by her husband, William Venters; daughters, Lori Rezinas (Dimitri) and Gina Venters both of Shelbyville, IL; son, Aaron Venters (Maggie) of Shelbyville, IL;  five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Ferol Anderson; and sisters, Patricia Sebright and Linda Anderson.

She will be greatly missed by her family.
