James D Hanson

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 5, 2015 in Cornerstone Community Fellowship, Shelbyville, IL with Pastor John Curtis officiating. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to the family.
James was born on February 14, 1978 in Rockford, Illinois, the son of Roy Lee and Doris Lee McDonald Hanson. He attended Shelbyville Schools. James married Nikki Bly on February 9, 2007. James became a part of the Pettyjohn family through his marriage to Nikki, and was a great help to them on the family farm. He enjoyed horseback riding, fishing, mushroom hunting, camping, eating and spending time outdoors.
He is survived by his wife, Nikki; a special child, Paige; mother, Doris Hanson of Shelbyville, IL; brothers, Johnny Hanson of Taos, NM, Doug Storm of Normal, IL, Ed (Kelly) Storm of Shelbyville, IL and Rich (Suellen) Storm of Shelbyville, IL; and sisters, Misty (Ken) Burger of Effingham, IL and Nancy (Terry) Wheat of Shelbyville, IL.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; father, Roy Hanson; and sister, Chae Marie Crossen.
