James J Hostetler

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 17, 2013 in Union Cemetery, Mode, IL with Rev. Howard Sallee officiating. Memorials may be given to the family. Howe and Yockey Funeral Home in Shelbyville is in charge of arrangements.
Jim was born on November 16, 1938 in Shelbyville Twp., Shelby County, IL, the son of Daniel D. and Lydia Reber Hostetler. He was brought up in Mt. Hermon Amish Mennonite Church and was affiliated with Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, both near Shelbyville. Jim was a welder for Reber Welding in Shelbyville for many years. He loved fishing, mushroom hunting, Cardinal baseball and a good campfire with friends and family. He married Nancy Marie Wheat on June 24, 1962.
He will be greatly missed by his wife, Nancy; daughter, Jamie Marie Hostetler of Shelbyville; brother, Richard Hostetler and wife Ginnie of Shelbyville; sister, June Drescher and husband Luke of Harrisonburg, VA; faithful dogs, Buddy and Kissy; and cat, Miss Kitty.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Dan & Lydia Hostetler; and one sister, Jean Krall.
