James W. “Jimmy” Bulla

(October 28, 1967 – September 9, 2023)

James Wesley “Jimmy” Bulla , 55, of Sullivan, formerly of Findlay, IL, passed away at 10:00 p.m. Saturday, September 9, 2023 in his residence.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 16, 2023 in Cornerstone Community Fellowship Church, Shelbyville, IL.   A time of fellowship will follow the service in the church. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or to the family and mailed to Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, 415 N. Broadway, Shelbyville, IL 62565.

Jimmy was born on October 28, 1967 in Decatur, IL, the son of Phillip Wesley and Janice Faye (Scott) Bulla.  He graduated from Findlay High School in the Class of 1987.  Jimmy worked in the housekeeping department at Eastview Terrace in Sullivan, IL.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Findlay and enjoyed watching “Doctor Who”, listening to music and collecting eagle statues.  Jimmy married Alice Lee Thompson on May 26, 2001.  He was a sweet and caring man, who always had something nice to say or text to his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Alice; sisters, Angela Rich (Frank) of Findlay, Patricia Bulla of  Findlay and Sue Hecker (Jeff) of  Edinburg, IL; and brother, Jerrold “Jerry” Bulla (Sharon) of McMinnville, TN.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
