Janet Lee Wallace , 88, of Shelbyville, IL, passed away Saturday evening, June 3, 2023 in her residence.

Janet was born on August 25, 1934 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Roy Christopher and Geneva Winifred (Finch) Stanley. Janet was self-employed as a Professional Housekeeper and was also a Clothing Sales Associate.  She attended the First Church of the Nazarene in Shelbyville.   Janet enjoyed music, dancing, reading and walking her dog, Abbey.

Janet is survived by her sons, Michael Bruce “Mike” McKean of Madison, TN, and Jeffrey Todd “Jeff” Wallace (Rachel) of Shelbyville, IL; daughters, Sandra Jo “Sandy” White of Woodacre, CA, Rebecca Faye “Becky” Riddle (Kent) of Decatur, IL, Elizabeth Diane “Liz” Boland of Paxton, IL, Kristina Lynn “Kris” Wallace of Decatur, IL, and Nancy Gay Pesch of Shelbyville, IL; sister, Pam Stanley; seven grandchildren, Dustin Brown, Brock Wallace, Emily Madden, Max Boland, Katie Brown, Savannah Pesch, and Gaige Pesch; and three great grandchildren, Hannah Brown, Daniel Brown, and Noah Madden.

She was preceded in death by her father, Roy Christopher Stanley; mother, Geneva Winifred Souza; daughter, Cynthia “Cindy” McKean; and sister, Kaye Stanley.

In keeping with Janet’s wishes, no services are being planned.  Arrangements are by Howe & Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to the Shelbyville Memorial Sunken Garden Project in Forest Park, Shelbyville, IL, and mailed to Howe & Yockey Funeral Home, 415 North Broadway, Shelbyville, IL 62565.
