Janet M Kelsey
(March 16, 1942 – August 11, 2010)
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 15, 2010 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville with Rev. Don Jefferies officiating. Visitation will be one hour before services. Burial will be in Lewis Cemetery, Pesotum, IL. Memorials may be given to Spreckles Organ Society, 1549 El Prado, Suite 10, San Diego, CA 92101-1661.
Janet was born on March 16, 1942 in Bakersfield, CA, the daughter of Zach and Lysle Walton Squires. Surviving is her husband of 15 years, Gary P. Kelsey.
For over 30 years Janet was an elementary teacher and music specialist. She was an accomplished flutist, though she was also known in San Diego as an alto soloist. Janet loved the sciences and had over a dozen courses from the teaching company in Physics, Economics and Weather.
Janet and her husband began Concerts by the Lake in Shelbyville and started a successful business, Mole Master, serving the Central Illinois area.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
