Jaylene Kay Johnson, 72, of Strasburg, IL, passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2021 in her residence.

Jaylene was born on September 14, 1948, in Henry County, IN, the daughter of George D. and Jane A. Johnson. She most recently worked as an associate at Wal-Mart in Effingham. Jaylene was a member of the Eagles in Effingham, IL and enjoyed sewing.

Jaylene is survived by her sons, Christopher Goen of Deerfield, MI, Howard Goen (Susan) of Stewardson, IL, and Toby Goen (Michelle) of Strasburg, IL; daughter, Tina Cook (Joseph, Jr.) of Vandalia, IL; brother, Monte Johnson (Linda) of New Castle, IN; sister, Claudia Hoopingarner of New Castle, IN; 18 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A family gathering will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Strasburg, IL.
