Jeanine A. Standley

Jeanine Arlene Standley, 87, of Shelbyville, IL, passed away at 1:34 a.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2025, in her home.

A visitation will held from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 29, 2025 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, at the funeral home, with Pastor Debbie Hamilton officiating. After a luncheon, graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 29th in the Beecher City Cemetery, Beecher City, IL. Memorials may be given to Shelbyville First United Methodist Church or HSHS Hospice.

Jeanine was born on January 15, 1938, in Mt. Carmel, IL, the daughter of Don and Bluebell (Bruns) Maxfield. She was a graduate of Beecher City High School in the Class of 1956. Jeanine married Clyde K. Standley on June 1, 1956. She turned her love for children into a career as she worked as an in-home babysitter for over 30 years. She was a member of Shelbyville First United Methodist Church. Jeanine enjoyed watching the birds, reading books, going for walks and spending time with her family.

Jeanine is survived by her two daughters, Karen Abbey and husband Frank of Shelbyville, IL, and Andrea Standley of Springfield, IL; grandchildren, Bradley Wilbur of Shelbyville, IL, Doug Martz and wife Bree of Shelbyville, IL, Brandon Martz and wife Amanda of Shelbyville, IL, and Joshua Mansfield and wife Heidi of Springfield, IL; great grandchildren, Alexander Wilbur and Logan Martz; step-great grandchildren, Makayla and Bryar Wallis; brother, Roy Maxfield of Rochester, IL; sisters, Evelyn Marie Wright of Decatur, IL, and Donna Berry (Sam) of Astoria, IL; and several, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Clyde on October 31, 2008; and twin sister, Janet Maxfield in childhood.
