Jeanne Gray , 90, of Shelbyville, IL, formerly of Mt. Carmel, IL, passed away at 1:46 p.m. Thursday, March 11, 2021 at Shelbyville Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, Shelbyville, IL.

A graveside service for family and friends will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 29, 2021 in Glenwood Cemetery (Lookout Addition) with Rev. Tim Yankee officiating. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to the First Baptist Church of Shelbyville, IL and mailed to Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, 415 N. Broadway, Shelbyville, IL 62565.

Jeanne was born on April 7, 1930 in Lawrenceville, IL, the daughter of Walter W. and Ada Ellen (Lowe) Weir. She grew up in Mt. Carmel, IL, where she was active in the First Church of God and graduated from Mt. Carmel High School.  She married John Sterling Gray on September 28, 1946, and he preceded her in death on May 10, 1985. Jeanne was an avid seamstress and enjoyed shopping, baking, and arranging flowers. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Shelbyville, IL.

Jeanne is survived by her son, Wayne Sterling Gray and wife Deborah of Shelbyville, IL; daughter, Beverly C. Gray of Collinsville, IL; two grandchildren, Wade Hamilton Gray (Laura) of Findlay, IL and Cole Sterling Gray (Heather) of Dallas, TX; and two great grandchildren, Hayden Nichole Gray and Evan Harris Gray.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; two brothers, Bill and Bob Weir; and one sister, Sue Bullington.
