A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2017 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL. A luncheon will follow at V.F.W. Post #4829 in Shelbyville, IL. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, April 3, 2017 in the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Shelbyville Wrestling Program or Autism Speaks for Autism Awareness.
Jeremy was born on June 27, 1998 in Santa Rosa, CA, the son of Shawn Patrick and Melissa Ann DeMartino Starwalt. He was a senior at Shelbyville High School, where was active in the wrestling program, football program, and the Game Club. Jeremy also enjoyed drawing, fishing, and playing video games.
He is survived by his father, Shawn Starwalt and fiancée Melinda Chern of Shelbyville, IL; mother, Melissa Starwalt of Shelbyville, IL; sister, Amanda Marie Starwalt of Shelbyville, IL; step-brother, Sully Chern of Chicago, IL; step-sister, Izzy Chern of Chicago, IL; special friends, Lonnie and Crete Stone and Clay Baker all of Shelbyville, IL; paternal grandparents, Donald Earl Starwalt and wife Linda of Kirksville, MO and Patricia Sue Starwalt of Shelbyville, IL; maternal grandparents, Scott and Marie Robinson of Shelbyville, IL; and paternal great grandmother, Maxine Gregg of Shelbyville, IL.
He was preceded in death by his “Grandpa BJ”; and paternal great grandparents, Leon Gregg and Jack and Zelma Starwalt.
