Jim Pinson

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, February 10, 2018 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL with Rev. David Beerbower officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday and also from 11:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to the Shelby County Junior Rifle Club.
Jim was born on January 5, 1952 in North Kingstown, RI, the son of James Benjamin and Helen Dolores (Chester) Pinson. He was a service technician for Crown Lift Trucks until his retirement. Jim also owned and operated K & J Outdoor Sports near Lakewood, IL. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and the Fish Tales Fishing Club. Jim enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his son, William “Bill” Pinson and wife Laura of Midlothian, IL; daughter, Sandi Awad of Port Orange, FL; girlfriend, Jane Hunter of Alma, IL; sisters, Lee Pinson, Lynn Ann Moulder and Lisa Ann Ward; and two grandchildren, Amelia Awad and James Pinson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, David Pinson.
