Jimmie D Riley

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2017 in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL with Rev. Greg Breeden officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Wednesday in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL. Casual attire is requested. Memorials may be given to the American Diabetes Association.
Mr. Riley was born on September 29, 1937 in Shelbyville, IL, the son of Charles M. and Zelma B. Kingston Riley. He owned and operated Riley Carpet Service in Shelbyville, IL for over 30 years. Jimmie was a member of the Sons of the American Legion and Moose Lodge #1294 both in Shelbyville, IL. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and mowing his yard. He married Netia K. Woodworth on September 29, 1957. She died on April 10, 1982. On December 8, 1984, he married Dorothy M. Hudson. She died on March 22, 2014.
He is survived by his children, Rick Riley of Shelbyville, IL, Bill Riley and wife Pam of Strasburg, IL, Jeannie Riley of Shelbyville, IL and Rusty Riley and wife Karen of Shelbyville, IL; step-children, Russell Dobbs, Kathy Roessler and Carla Curtis and husband John all of Shelbyville, IL and Susan Dobbs of Effingham, IL; sisters, Delores Strohl of Zionsville, IN and Marsha Herboth of Watson, IL; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Netia; second wife, Dorothy; son, Jimmie Dale Riley, Jr.; infant step-son, Kenny Bruce Dobbs; brothers, Ronnie Hill, Jerry Hill, Earl Wayne Welch, Darrell Riley and David Riley; and sisters, Judy Ramsey and Opal Durbin.
