Joeann Mueller, 78, of Shelbyville, died at 8:54 p.m. Thursday, July 5, 2007 in Shelby Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in Howe & Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville with Rev. E. Wade Helmkamp officiating. Visitation from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Saturday and one hour before services on Sunday. Burial will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Strasburg. Following the committal service a luncheon will be held in Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Shelbyville. Memorials may be given to Holy Cross Lutheran Church Building Fund.

Joeann was born on June 21, 1929 in Ramsey, Illinois, the daughter of Rollin and Ruth Meyerholz Williams. She worked at the Garment Factory in Shelbyville, Mallorys in Pana and was a cook at Shelby Memorial Hospital, Mattoon Schools and Olivewood Health Care Center in Shelbyville. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Shelbyville. She married Eugene W. Mueller on May 14, 1950.

Surviving are her husband, Eugene; son, Larry Mueller and wife Cheryl of Decatur; daughter, Jackie Mock of Lerna; sister, Frances Williams of Shelbyville; three grandchildren, Amy Mueller Finley and husband Brian of Charleston, Angela Mueller Stephens and husband Roger of Shelbyville and J. Adam Mock (U.S. Army) of Lerna; one step-granddaughter, Mandy Rudisill of Decatur; three great grandchildren, Zachary and Macayla Finley both of Charleston and Rory Stephens of Shelbyville; and four step great grandchildren, Natalie Finley of Charleston, and Colton, Kyler and Courtlan Stephens all of Shelbyville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Charles E. Williams, Sr.; and sister, Virginia Williams Wood.
