Funeral services will be 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 26, at Calvert Funeral Home, 201 South Center Street, in Clinton, IL. The Rev. Kevin Ray will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Kenney, IL. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 25, at Howe and Yockey Funeral Home in Shelbyville, and from 12 noon until 1 p.m. on Nov. 26 at Calvert Funeral Home. Mr. Schoby was born Sept. 21, 1925, in Kenney, IL., the son of Roy Schoby and Savilla Mears Schoby.
Mr. Schoby was a retired sales representative. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and Navy, and was a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He was a member of the First Christian Church.
He married Marjorie Jean “Marge” Aughenbaugh on Sept. 28, 1947, in Chestnut, IL. She passed away on Feb. 13, 2011.
He is survived by one son, Jeff (Devra) Schoby of Riverton, IL.; two grandchildren, Jeremy and Ashlee Schoby of Riverton, IL.; and one brother, Don (Norma) Schoby of Kenney, IL.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; one son; one brother; and one sister.
