Johnny Ray Oller , 71, of Shelbyville, IL, passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2021 in his residence, Shelbyville, IL.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 10, 2021 in Brunswick Cemetery, near Findlay, IL with Darrell Best officiating and military rites by the Shelby County Honor Guard. Family and friends are invited to meet at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, 415 N. Broadway, Shelbyville, IL 62565 before going in procession to the cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Shelby County Honor Guard. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL.

Johnny was born on March 22, 1950, in Springfield, IL, the son of Bedford Thomas and Helen Irene (Funderburk) Baskett. Johnny served in the U.S. Army from 1970 – 1972, during the Vietnam War. He worked for the railroad, and later was a baker at County Market in Shelbyville. Most recently, Johnny worked as a cook at the American Legion in Shelbyville. He enjoyed fishing, shooting pool, scrapping, and cooking.

Johnny is survived by his son, Thomas Oller (Alicia Shain) of Shelbyville, IL; daughter, Melissa Maness of Shelbyville, IL; step-son, Jeremy Williamson (Sharlynn) of Shelbyville, IL; sister, Janet Frias of Mesa, AZ; grandchildren, Jaydon Vice, Braxton White, Ryan Maness, Dalton Maness, Justin Maness, McKayla Maness, Dakota Williamson and Donavan Williamson; and great grandchildren, Liam Maness, Cooper Reinstorf, and Aiden, Bentley and Brayden Williamson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Baskett; and two sisters, Joan Carol Jenkins and Connie Cox.
