Joseph Miles “Joe” Gannaway , 51, of Bremerton, WA, passed away at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 11, 2022 in his residence.

Private family services will be held at a later date with burial in Richland Cemetery, near Strasburg, IL.  Memorials may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Strasburg, IL.

Joe was born on October 31, 1970 in Effingham, IL, the son of Jefferey L. and Katherine E. Boyer Gannaway.  He graduated from Olympic High School in the Class of 1988.  Joe enjoyed listening to music, walking and going to the thrift store.

He is survived by his mother, Katherine E. Manhart (Noel) of Strasburg, IL; father, Jefferey L. Gannaway (Linda) of Windsor, IL; brothers, Eric Morgensen (Tristalene) of Bremerton, WA and Bruce Gannaway (Kristin) of Darian, IL; and sisters, Kelly Clark of Charleston, IL, Emily Gilmore (Matt) of Herrick, IL, Molly Manhart of Los Angeles, CA and Roxy Manhart of Minot, ND.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Silas and Maxine Boyer; and paternal grandparents, Richard and Emma Catherine Gannaway.
