Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 18, 2018 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL with Rev. Becky Lembke officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 18, 2018. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery, Pana, IL. Memorials may be given to Quad County Hospice.
Josephine was born on September 19, 1919 in Pana, IL, the daughter of George Leroy and Iva Denbow Todd. She graduated from Pana High School in the Class of 1937. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Taylorville, IL and Royal Neighbors of America. She married Louis Friedrich on November 24, 1960.
She is survived by her children, Nancy (Dick) Wheeler of Windsor, IL, and Samuel (Cindy) Reed of Florence, AZ; five grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Louis Friedrich; and sister, Pauline Beebe.
