Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 5, 2019 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL with Rev. David Beerbower officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Friday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Assumption, IL. Memorials may be given to Gideons International.
Joyce was born on August 5, 1933 in Moweaqua, IL, the daughter of Warren James and Fern Evelyn (Reider) Trainor. She graduated from Tower Hill High School in the Class of 1951. Joyce began working for the Oliver Corporation in Shelbyville, IL and later worked as a secretary for the Assumption Cooperative Grain Company. She was a member of the Knobs Baptist Church near Tower Hill, IL and enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. Joyce married G. Junior Beck on February 25, 1956. He died on October 22, 2013.
She is survived by her sons, Larry “Joe” Beck (Melanie) and Jack Beck (Janet) all of Shelbyville, IL; daughter, Jean Beck of Mansfield, TX; brothers, James Warren Trainor, Jr. and Charles Trainor (Wilma) all of Tower Hill, IL; two granddaughters, Ashley Gatton (Dalton) of Tower Hill, IL and Jackie Beck of Shelbyville, IL; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Junior; sisters, Lois Shuff and Loretta “Rita” Hedderich (Fritz); and sisters-in-law, Joann Trainor and Mary Ann Trainor.
