Joyce M Young

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 6, 2015 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL with Rev. Kevin Ray officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Humboldt Twp. Cemetery, near Humboldt, IL. Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association.
Joyce was born on January 18, 1935 in Shelbyville, IL, the daughter of Courtney M. and Wintress V. Wade McKittrick. She attended Shelbyville High School. Joyce worked for Shelby Memorial Hospital in the housekeeping department until her retirement. She married Donald D. Young on February 23, 1957 and he preceded her in death.
She is survived by her sons, Mark Young and wife Peggy of Acworth, GA and Matt Young and wife Robbie of St. Charles, IL; daughter, Michelle Young Kussin and husband John of Hanover Park, IL; sisters, Lucille Tubb and husband Jim of Phoenix, AZ, Lois Helton and husband Ron of Shelbyville, IL and Brenda Nardi and husband Danny of Normal, IL; brother-in-law, Robert Graven of Shelbyville, IL; five grandchildren, Amy Hartley and husband Adam, Joshua Young, Nicole Young, Samantha Young, and Jaime Kussin; four great grandchildren, Brennis Hartley, Hollis Hartley, Ethan Burrell and Wyatt Young; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald Young on May 27, 1988; son, Michael Dean Young on May 23, 2002; sisters, Darlene Crockett and Nadine Graven; and brother-in-law, Dwight Crockett.
