Juanita F Kasey
(August 19, 1924 – July 17, 2019)
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 21, 2019 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, 108 N. Locust St., Strasburg, IL with Mike Giertz officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 21, 2019 in the funeral home. Burial will be in Cochran’s Grove Cemetery, rural Windsor, IL. Juanita was born on August 19, 1924, in Strasburg, IL the daughter of Joe Abe and Lula Maye (Schoby) Young. She graduated from Strasburg High School in the Class of 1942. Juanita made infant shoes at Brown Shoe Factory in Sullivan, IL during WWII. She married Ralph “Bus” Kasey on November 18, 1945. Juanita was a farm wife and a homemaker. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Charleston, Neoga, and Strasburg, IL. She will be remembered for her walking, quilting and making chocolate chip cookies. Juanita was actively involved in the activities of her children and grandchildren. She followed Christ throughout her life and led her family to follow Him as well.
She is survived by her children, Lee (Sharon) Kasey of Charleston, IL, Joan (Jerry) Willenborg of Greenup, IL and Nels (Autumn) Kasey of Ashmore, IL; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Maye Young; husband, Ralph Kasey on October 6, 1991; and one sister, Wanda Maye Giertz.
