Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2012 in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Strasburg, IL with Rev. Steven Becker officiating. Visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the church. Burial will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Strasburg, IL with military rites by Strasburg American Legion Post #289 and Strasburg American Legion Auxiliary. Howe and Yockey Funeral Home in Strasburg is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be given to St. Paul’s Cemetery Fund or American Heart Association.

Juanita was born on August 5, 1924 in rural Strasburg, IL, the daughter of Edward William and Amelia Sophia Vogel Doeding. She attended St. Paul’s Lutheran Grade School and was a graduate of Strasburg High School in the Class of 1942. Juanita was a U.S. Navy veteran of WW II, serving from May 1945 to August 1946. When she returned from the service, she was a dental assistant and later a telephone operator. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Strasburg and a member of Strasburg American Legion Auxiliary. She married Clinton T. “Jack” Weber on August 29, 1963. He died on October 6, 1987.

She is survived by her step-son, Allen Weber of Indianapolis, IN; sisters, Lela Ostermeier and husband Dwight of Strasburg, IL and Dorothy Juhnke also of Strasburg, IL; step-grandchildren, Synda Overbeck of Effingham, IL, Sondra Craig of Indianapolis, IN, Clinton Weber of Beecher City, IL and Joshua Weber of Indianapolis, IN; seven step-great grandchildren; and special friends, Gary and Marlene Wirth of Sullivan, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack; sisters, Helen Buesking and Retha Schwartz; and two step-great grandchildren.
