Judy Friske

Memorial graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 4, 2009, in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville with Rev. Kevin Ray officiating. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville.
Judy was born on August 7, 1947 in Mechanicsburg, Illinois, the adopted daughter of Chester and Zelma Getz Lidster. She was raised in Shelbyville and later moved to Dakota City, Nebraska. She married Jack Friske on May 17, 1979 in Elk Point, South Dakota. They later moved to Akron, Iowa. She was a homemaker and a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Akron, Iowa. She enjoyed bowling, fishing, camping, country music, word searches and crafts.
Surviving are her husband, Jack; five children, Sean Kelly of Sherman, Texas, Don (Robin) Kelly of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Roy, Ray, and Amber Kelly of Sherman, Texas; six grandchildren; brother, Jerry Bowen of Royal Palm Beach, Florida; two sisters, Helen (Harold) Gibson of Effingham and Shirley Hite of Waseca, Minnesota; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; father and mother-in-law, Paul and Lois Friske; and sister, Ruby York.
