Judy Kay Collins , 73, of Effingham, IL, formerly of Stewardson, passed away at 8:35 a.m. Friday, March 11, 2022 at Lakeland Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Effingham, IL.

Judy was born on March 14, 1948, in Shelbyville, IL, the daughter of Fairie Williams. She was raised in Lakewood, IL, by Russell and Jean Cutler, and attended Shelbyville High School in the class of 1966. She married Richard Leon Collins on March 14, 1964 in Stewardson, IL, and he preceded her in death on September 27, 2018. Rich and Judy owned and operated Tropical Sno at Johnstowne Mall in Shelbyville during the 1990s. Judy enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids.

Judy is survived by her daughters, Kim Ohnesorge (Rich) of Beecher City, IL, Michelle Knop (Kyle) of Strasburg, IL, and Jill Hutchcraft (Jason) of Moweaqua, IL; sister, Nickie Snyder of Decatur, IL; brother, Jimmy Cutler (Laura) of Shelbyville, IL:  five grandchildren, Kayla Nichols (Josh) of Mode, IL, Tanner Williams (India) of Evansville, IN, Ali Hart of Sullivan, IL, Kendall Fulk (Justin) of Effingham, IL, and Drake Williams (Amanda) of Evansville, IN;  four great grandchildren, Brantley and Whitlee Nichols, Liam Williams, and Jaden Helm; niece, Dianne Atteberry (Jim) of Shelbyville, IL, and sister-in-law, Tammy Collins of Altamont, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fairie Hart, and Russell and Jean Cutler; husband, Richard; sister, Louise Camfield; brother, Brad Cutler; son-in-law, Jerry Williams; and several aunts, uncles, grandparents, in-laws, and grandchildren.

In keeping with Judy’s wishes, no services will be held at this time. Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association or the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and mailed to Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, 415 N. Broadway, Shelbyville, IL 62565. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Strasburg, IL.
