Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville with Father Don Wolford officiating. Howe and Yockey Funeral Home in Shelbyville is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be given to Shelbyville Community Dialysis or Shriner’s Hospitals for Children.
June was born on August 12, 1923 in Shelbyville, Illinois, the daughter of William B. and Clotilde West Walden. She worked for the Marvel-Schebler products division of Borg-Warner in Decatur for many years. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Shelbyville. She married Jesse G. Helton in 1939. He died in 1953. She married Robert John Dort in 1959.
Surviving are her husband, John; son, Ronald L. Helton and wife Lois of Shelbyville; three grandchildren, Leslie A. Fathauer, Jesse M. Helton and wife Gwyn and Daniel L. Helton and wife Dena all of Shelbyville; eight great grandchildren, Justin Fathauer and wife Monica, Chelsea Wildman and husband Rodney, Zachary Helton and wife Christina, Aurora Helton, Bailee Helton, Cortland Helton, Alexis Helton and Cade Helton; and four great great grandchildren, Jesse Helton, Bryce Fathauer, Bodee Fathauer and Jasmine Wildman.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband; and grandson-in-law, David Fathauer.
The most important things in her life were her family and her friends.
