Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 20, 2014 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL with Rev. Mark Sanders officiating and Don Shasteen delivering the eulogy. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to Shelby Christian Church, Shelbyville, IL.

Karen was born on January 1, 1944 in Shelbyville, IL, the daughter of Cadelle and Mary Elizabeth Leach Chaney. She graduated from Shelbyville High School in the Class of 1962. Karen was the Office Manager for Lakeland FS in Shelbyville, IL and then worked in Accounts Payable for Effingham-Clay FS in Effingham, IL until her retirement in 2010. She also worked at the ALCO Store and County Market both in Shelbyville. Karen was a member of Shelby Christian Church and a former member of Ladies of the Moose #1325 both in Shelbyville, IL. She enjoyed gardening, mushroom hunting, fishing, mowing, raking leaves and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events.

She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Graham (fiancé Derrick) of Lakewood, IL; brother, Larry Chaney (Donna) of Ada, OH; grandchildren, Blake Tucker (Nikki), Breck Calame (Jessica), Benjamin Graham (Lisa), D. J. Holster (Katy), Lynne Hoyt (fiancé Robert), Mary Graham (fiancé Derek); and great grandchildren, Kaytlin Tucker, Gracee Tucker, Ian Hoyt, Cassidy Graham, Tucker Hoyt, and Hadlee Holster.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
