A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2019 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
Kathleen was born on December 8, 1962 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Robert Lee and Carol Ann (Jones) Storey. She graduated from Findlay High School in the Class of 1981. Kathleen began working for Illinois Consolidated Telephone Company in Mattoon, IL. She later worked for Country Companies in Bloomington, IL, Taylorville Police Department as a dispatcher, Caterpillar, Inc. in Decatur, IL and the Veterans Affairs Clinic in Decatur, IL, where she was an LPN. Kathleen enjoyed decorating her home and going to the beach in Gulf Shores, AL. She married Robert Carl Gipson, Jr. on June 29, 1994.
She is survived by her husband, Robert; son, Beau Storey of Orange Beach, AL; daughter Jordan Bunch (fiancé Zack Pappas) of Orange Beach, AL; granddaughter, Adyline Storey of Edinburg, IL; mother and step-father, Carol Ann and Don Butler of Findlay, IL; sister, Debbi Warren (Daniel) of Bolingbrook, IL; step-brother, Dan Butler (Jodi) of Mt. Zion, IL; step-sister, Angela McIntire (fiancé Kurt Hoch) of Decatur, IL; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Ashli Bunch; father, Robert Lee Storey; and sister, Suzannah Lee Alexander.
