Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 14, 2018 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL with Rick Williams officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to Saving Orphaned Animals, Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation or the Spina Bifida Association.
Kayla was born on May 23, 1944 in Shelbyville, IL, the daughter of Melvin Ray and Wanda Adeline (Allison) Holley. She graduated from Shelbyville High School the Class of 1962 and went on to attend Sparks Business College in Shelbyville and Lake Land College in Mattoon. Kayla was a traffic clerk at International Paper at the time of her retirement. She previously worked for the Illinois State Library in Springfield and Gaddis Realtors and Lithia Springs Marina both in Shelbyville.
She is survived by her daughter, Holly Sphar Corley (Mark) of Olive Branch, MS; grandchildren, Allyson Harwell (Jordan) of Nesbit, MS and Taylor Corley of Olive Branch, MS; brother, Jim Holley (Barb) of Shelbyville, IL; friend and caregiver, Jan Robertson of Shelbyville, IL; nephews, Mark Holley (Jamie) of Mahomet, IL, Matthew Holley (Everet) of Indianapolis, IN; and great nephews, Fletcher and Beckett Holley of Mahomet, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Louise Utsler (Dean).
