Keith H Ongman

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 1, 2007 in Overman-Jones Funeral Home, 309 Joliet Rd., Plainfield, IL 60544. Visitation one hour before services. Burial will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL. Local arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home in Shelbyville. Memorials may be given to VFW Post # 4829 of Shelbyville.
Mr. Ongman was born on March 26, 1928 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Harry D. and Phoebee Peterson Ongman. He was a U.S. Marines Corps veteran of WW II and received a Bronze Star and Purple Heart for his service in the Korean War. He was a manufacturing supervisor for General Motors in Tilton, Illinois until his retirement. He was active in the Republican Party and the Masonic Lodge in Chicago.
Surviving are his sons, Kenneth A. Ongman and wife Sharon of Collinsville, Illinois, Keith J. Ongman, Sr. and wife Linda of Harvard, Illinois and H. Patrick Ongman and wife Heidi of Draper, Utah; daughter, Cynthia J. Bromir and husband Bradley of Crystal Lake, Illinois; step-children, George Schaffer, Brenda Hopper, Mark Glistie, Julie Rigdon and Jennifer Victory; 12 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
