Kristine Ann “Kristi” Weishaar, 55, of Shelbyville, IL, passed away at 3:26 p.m. Sunday, July 11, 2021 in her residence at Cornerstone Apartments in Shelbyville, IL.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 21, 2021 in Graceland Cemetery, Decatur, IL by Father Pawel Augustyniak.  Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 20, 2021 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL.  Memorials may be given to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church or Shelby County Community Services for their Special Olympics Team.

Kristi was born on December 14, 1965 in Shelbyville, IL, the daughter of Maurice H. and Rita Hanfland Weishaar.  She worked at Shelby County Community Services in Shelbyville for many years.  Kristi was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Shelbyville.  Kristi had a great sense of humor and loved telling jokes. She loved reading celebrity biography magazines and watching old monster horror movies. She loved music, especially the bands of the sixties and seventies, preferring the Beatles over the Rolling Stones.  She had a prodigious memory, especially of music history and movies. Kristi was an avid and accomplished player of the game Trivial Pursuit. Kristi was a valued member of the Cornerstone Apartments Community in Shelbyville, where she enjoyed singing in the greater community choir.

She is survived by her brother, Tony Weishaar and wife Debi of Shelbyville, IL; sister, Laura Weiskamp and husband Edward of Urbana, IL; nieces and nephews, Aaron Weishaar and wife Amber of Carmel, IN, Wade Weishaar of Chicago, and Viola, Gerald and Danny Weiskamp all of Chicago; and great nieces, Meghan and Katherine Weishaar of Carmel, IN.

She was preceded in death by her father, Maurice H. “Maury” Weishaar; and mother, Rita Watson.
