Kristine M Schmitz

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 4, 2009 in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Shelbyville with Father Don Wolford officiating. Visitation and prayer service will begin at 4:15 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Education Fund for the Schmitz Children or Crisis Pregnancy Center in Shelbyville.
Kris was born on January 29, 1967 in Hillsboro, IL, the daughter of Dan and Edna Gray King. She was a graduate of Nokomis High School in the Class of 1985 and Sparks Business College in Shelbyville. Kris worked for KSI Laboratories in Shelbyville and Whitetail Crossing Cabins near Findlay. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Shelbyville. She married Paul Schmitz on June 11, 1988.
Surviving are her children, Amanda, William, Wesley and Sarah Schmitz all of Shelbyville; brothers, Charles King of Nokomis and B.C. King and wife JoAnn of Hillsboro; sister, Lou Ann Johnson and husband Bill of Nokomis; sister-in-law, Tammy King of Nokomis; several nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dan and Edna King; infant son, Daniel Schmitz; brother, Jim King; nephew, Jim Johnson; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was especially fond of the only grandparent that she ever knew, Christina Gray, who died in 1985.
