Larry A Martin

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL. Following the visitation a life celebration event will be held at the Iron Keg in Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to his family.
Larry was born on April 12, 1967 in Decatur, Illinois. He is the son of Jack Douglas and Dolores Mary (Buckley) Martin. He graduated from Cowden Herrick High School, the Class of 1985. He was an ironworker and most recently worked for P & H Mfg. in Shelbyville, IL. Larry enjoyed being on the river, sitting around a campfire, camping and fishing. Larry married Sara Thomas on December 28, 2001.
He is survived by his wife, Sara of Shelbyville, IL; children, Jacob and Katherine Martin both of Shelbyville, IL; brother, Joseph Page (Vickie) of Decatur, IL; sisters, Fran Truter (Bruce) of Edinburg, IL, Diane Boyles (Randy) of Decatur, IL, Donna Croxen (Tom) of Decatur, IL, and Carolyn Eversole (Bob) of Tower Hill, IL; step-brothers, Chuck Martin of Shelbyville, IL and Jack Martin of Decatur, IL; step-sister, Linda Harris of Decatur, IL; and special friends, Carrie and Kevin Fry of Tower Hill, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Dolores Martin.
